Rugby

The term rugby is used to refer to a family of team ball sports whose rules are derived from the football played in the first half of the 19th century at Rugby School in England. Several variations exist, depending on the number of players on the field. The most popular are Rugby Union, Rugby League and Rugby Sevens. Generally speaking, the point of the game is to score more points than the opponent, through tries (giving the right to conversions), penalty goals or drops (kicks dropped in the course of the game).
