Basketball
Basketball is a team sport contested between two teams of five players on a rectangular court. The objective of each team is to pass a ball through a hoop 46 cm in diameter, fixed to a panel and placed 3.05 m from the ground: the basket. Each basket scored is worth two points to the team, except for shots beyond the three-point line, which are worth three points, and free throws awarded for a foul, which are worth one point.
