Athletics - Running

Running covers a series of different track and field events. Characterised by a suspension phase during which neither foot touches the ground (unlike walking), it allows a more energy-efficient movement than walking for speeds ranging from about 6 km/h (ultramarathon) to over 40 km/h (sprint).
